North Area Apostolisation ends.

The German North Area of the church of Pentecost has successfully ended their annual officers and leaders retreat dubbed Apostolisation, on Saturday March 16, 2019 at the Bremen Central Auditorium. The retreat began on Friday 15th March 2019 as ministers and wives in the area met to pray towards the main event.

Speaking at the program, the National Head of the Church of Pentecost in Germany, Apostle Ebenzer Nii Odai Quaye encouraged all officers and leaders in the area to work with the 2023 vision document so as to achieve its aim. He indicated that, the vision seeks to equip the Church to Transform Every Sphere of Society with Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God.

Apostle Quaye who educated the officers on the implementation and action plans of the vision mentioned that, leadership at the local level is very important and so leaders at the various locals must ensure that they do not let the church down because whatever they do affects the church at large.

He reiterated that leaders at the local level must ensure that members are well equipped with the necessary materials so that they can possess the Nations. He added that the church must know it exists to impact the world as it is God’s new society.

“Members must be taught to know that, the church is God’s new society, the living and the embodiment of the gospel which is the visible sign of the Kingdom of God” he emphasised. He elaborated that, the church must also be taught about its dual purpose due to the fact that, the church is called out of the world to belong to God and sent back to the world to impact the world with the values and principles of the Kingdom and to win souls for the Kingdom.

He explained that with this dual purpose, the church must adore God, serve God and possess the Nations. “This will help us to change the existing world views that contradict the word of God.”, he said.

Apostle Eben Quaye further stated that, in today’s world, it is difficult to distinguish between Christians and worldly people. This he said is as a result of the kind of behaviour some people put up, especially at funerals and parties.

“As Christians, we must stand out and be different. Some of our dressing does not please the Lord, and so we must teach our church” he stressed.

The former Belgium National head discouraged excessive noise making during church services, especially during all nights and also said communion services should continue to be solemn. He also advised the church to pay special attention to ushering and also modify the sitting arrangement during church services so that it will be welcoming to outsiders and new members.

“If we do not take care, people will say, we are a segregated church due to our sitting arrangement” he indicated. Apostle Ebenezer Quaye advised presiding elders and church leaders to encourage members to exercise their spiritual gifts at the local level.

The Apostolisation ended with an ordination of some elders, deacons and deaconess. Present at the program were Apostle Emmanuel Quaye and Wife, National Head of Norway, Mrs. Rosaline Quaye wife of the national head of Germany, Ministers and wives in the North area, the National Deacon, all officers and leaders in the North Area.
