Chairman Challenges Ministers To Work With Vision 2023

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has challenged ministers of the Church to apply themselves to the tenets of the Vision 2023 in order to achieve the objectives set to possess the Nations for Christ.

Speaking at the opening session of the 2019 Global Ministers Conference (GMC ‘19), Apostle Nyamekye called on the ministers to focus on working towards the fulfillment of the vision  birthed to provide a sense of direction to the leadership of the Church to which they are part.

He explained that Vision 2023 has as its overarching theme, “Possessing the Nations: Equipping the Church to transform every sphere of society with values and principles of the Kingdom of God.”

“The overall goal of this Vision is that we would be a church where members go to possess their nations by transforming every worldview, thought and behaviour with values, principles and lifestyles of the Kingdom of God, thereby turning many people to Christ,” Apostle Nyamekye stated.

The Chairman stated that the Vision could not be pursued alone and so there was the need to share it with all partners in the ministry. “I have therefore shared it with the Executive Council; the Executive Council has shared with the Heads; and now together with the Heads we have called for this conference, partly to have a consultative discussion with you on this Vision,” he added.

Apostle Nyamekye therefore called on the ministers to participate in the discussion sessions which will address concerns that may arise from the vision document and be well informed to own the vision. As part of measures to facilitate the smooth implementation of the vision, the Chairman said various transformative interventions have been activated to guide the process. He explained that an implementation plan with a scheduled scope has also been put in place to guide the actions and expected outputs.

“Again, an annual work plan has been designed to guide the implementation process on a year-to-year basis. During the conference, we shall receive orientation on both tools to enable us move the Vision beyond just paper work into actual transformative interventions.

“Our reporting format from June 2019 will also be modified to enhance the implementation of Vision 2023. These and other monitoring and evaluation tools have also been developed to help in monitoring the implementation process,” the Chairman said.
