We Have Been Created For Good Works – Apostle Marc Fatchao

The President of The Church of Pentecost in Benin, Apostle Marc Koffi Fatchao, has stated that God created humanity for good works. He, however, said man lost the sense of good works when he disobeyed and sinned against God.

Apostle Fatchao said this when speaking at the ongoing Global Ministers’ Conference of The Church of Pentecost at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) at Gomoa Fetteh on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Presenting a paper on the topic, “I Will Build My Church,” he indicated that through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, God has recreated man for good works.

“God Himself was the initiator of good works,” he said, stressing that after creation God declared that everything He had created was good (Genesis 1:31).

According to the Benin National Head, the good works of God has resulted in His name being spread across the face of the earth, as both believers and non-believers acknowledge His goodness with a popular catchphrase ‘God is Good.”

He noted that Jesus, while on earth, went round doing good by healing the sick, feeding the people, giving hope to the poor and the destitute, and liberating the oppressed (Acts 10:38). “The Lord always does good works; He has never done evil,” he added.

He further indicated that the early Apostles also took delight in doing good works as they went round preaching the Good News to the lost and healing the sick and saving the lost (Titus 2:6-8).

He, therefore, called on Christians to excel in good works and never be tired of doing good, because their good works will be rewarded.

He also entreated believers not to compromise their faith when doing good, because Jesus in His earthly ministry never compromised His position with the Jews, the Pharisees and the Scribes.

Apostle Marc Fatchao added that when God created man He taught of the social needs of humanity and therefore provided everything man needed in the garden.

He, therefore, called on the church to make social interventions an integral part of the ministry in an effort to possess the nations for Christ.
