German North Area holds Presbytery Meeting.

The German North Area of the Church of Pentecost has held its end of year presbytery meeting on Saturday, 12^th January, 2019 at the Dortmund Assembly Auditorium.

The meeting which was under the Chairmanship of Pastor Jabis Osei, the Area Head of the North Area and a member of the National Executive of the Church was held to give an account of all the activities the area undertook to the presbytery, who happens to be the leaders in the area.

The theme for the meeting was “I Will Build My Church” taken from Matthew 16:18 and Titus 2:13 and 14, which is the theme for the Church of Pentecost worldwide.

In an exhortation by the Area Head, Pastor Jabis Osei, he revealed that, God works through man and uses them as agents of transformation on earth. He explained that, if the purpose of God can be executed, then, the agents through which God uses must avail themselves.

He disclosed that, if the agents God uses for his work do not avail themselves, it will be difficult for the Church of God to be built.

Pastor Jabis Osei encouraged the presbytery to avail themselves and also advised them to always depend on God for directions as they work for him. “Leaders must not work with flesh and blood as it was told to Peter”, he admonished.

The Area Head urged the leaders in the area not to remain quiet and dormant, but be active in their work. He added that, they should take the Church as their own and be people who will be up to the task.

According to him, God expects leaders to be people who will correct their subordinates when things are not going on well, because the progress of the Church is in their hands.

The area report was read by the area head on behalf of all the districts. He was pleased with the work done by the various districts and expressed his heartfelt appreciation to them for doing a great work. The report included souls won, souls baptized in water, souls baptized by the holy spirit, activities the area undertook as well as the financial report of the area for the year 2018.

The Budget for the year 2019 was also presented to the presbytery as well as the projections for the year.

The German North Area consists of seven districts, and they are, Hamburg North, Hamburg South, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Bremen-Hannover, Berlin and Hamburg PIWC.

The meeting was attended by All pastors in the area and their wives, area executive members, presiding elders, ministry leaders, and other officers in the area.
