National Head’s New Year Message.
Dearly Beloved,
Happy new year, and greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ to you all!
As each year ends, I am always marvelled at God’s amazing grace and his lovingkindness towards us. Our God keeps blessing us way beyond what we pray for. No wonder the apostle Paul prayed that “we would be fully capable of comprehending with all saints (God’s people) the width and length and depth of His Love (fully experiencing that amazing, endless Love)”. Ephesians 3:18. (AMP). As we have begun a New Year, we give thanks to the Almighty God for constantly watching over us during the year 2018.
Permit me to share a few thoughts with you from the Bible, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. (Isaiah 1:18 and 19) ” We serve a God of reason who is timeless. A God who transcends time and generations, and is therefore not restricted by time, limited to space, or any generation. “He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17) He is the God who is “the same yesterday, and today and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8).
As we have been ushered into a New Year (2019), for many of us, a New Year would be a sign to change many situations, or circumstances that we might be battling with. You would readily agree that a New Year does not hold the answers to any of our problems. I therefore want to assure you that, Jesus is the only answer to your problems, and the problems of the world.
God does not work through New Years, God work only by his word and through his Holy Spirit, to accomplish what he wants to do, to bring about a desired change in order to meet every need, and aspiration that we have. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord”. The fact that we are alive suggests that there is hope. This is not a mere hope. This hope is a firm assurance, based on promises that God himself has decreed for all who will put their trust in him.
It is my prayer that, this year will be a fruitful one for you and your family. May God grant you the riches of his fullness this Year and beyond. May you discover and enjoy his peace even in the mist of the storms. He has promised us that, he will never leave us or forsake us. We can therefore be assured of his promise, for whatsoever he has promised, he is able to accomplish.
